Arborwood Lodge Wisconsin Rapids is the newest Residential Care Apartment Complex located in Wisconsin Rapids. We offer assistance for the elderly population including but not limited to: medication management, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, arrangement of medical appointments, housekeeping and laundry. A Residential Care apartment Complex, or R.C.A.C. offers the least restrictive assisted living that is offered in the United States.
We offer one and two bedroom apartments in a residential setting where three home cooked meals are provided as well as snacks. Our one bedroom apartment boasts three spacious, separate rooms with an easy access shower unit and detachable shower nozzle for ease of independence with showering. We have twenty four hour trained and certified staff and a Registered Nurse on site. Our Dietary Manager takes great pride in her meals and has experience preparing special diets. Our facility is all on one level with a beautifully landscaped courtyard.
Gather around the big screen television for movie night or play games on the internet in our computer room/library. We tailor our help to the needs of the tenants as they age in place at Arborwood Lodge while maintaining independence and integrity of the individual. Enjoy a whirlpool in our relaxing tub, socialize with family and friends during one of many planned activities. We realize that family and friends are very important and they are always welcome to attend functions or stay overnight in your apartment. Independence is priority; staff do not dictate your lifestyle, you continue to make your own choices-as you have for years. There is parking out front for your vehicle and feel free to continue to invite your social clubs and friends over to your home. Pets are considered. Our Registered Nurse does monthly focused assessments and a wireless call system is in place to alert staff for emergency situations. We have an in house beauty salon and daily church services. We have partnered with Community Care of Central Wisconsin (CCCW) and accept all forms of payment. Happy hour is a social highlight, as well as raised bed gardening and musical entertainment. Personally, I have been in healthcare for over twenty years with home care, clinical, teaching, infection control and long term residential care experience. I am an instructor at Mid-State Technical College. I find deep reward in caring for our elderly people. I love to hear about their life experiences. I live in Nekoosa with my husband and five children and enjoy biking, crocheting, walking, baking pies, and reading.
